NCHRP 20-24(98)—Connected/Automated Vehicle Research Roadmap for AASHTO (2015)

Resource Summary: The objective of NCHRP 20-24(98) was to develop a Connected/Automated Vehicle Research Roadmap addressing the policy, planning, and implementation issues that will face state and local transportation agencies. The roadmap, the report for this project, considered the implications of CV/AV technologies for the various segments of the traveling public (e.g., passenger cars, trucks, transit vehicles, emergency vehicles, bicycles, pedestrians) and for agency fleets. It presented a detailed plan for potential research projects and efforts that can clarify any unanswered questions and aid AASHTO, U.S. DOT and related groups with these technologies.
