TRB is hosting a webinar on Thursday, February 27, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM Eastern that will explore how state departments of transportation can conduct statewide evaluations of roads, highways, and bridges that have been damaged due to emergency events, and use those results to improve asset management efforts. Presenters will explain how to identify locations where highway assets have been repeatedly damaged and discuss considerations for alternative strategies that could mitigate the risk of recurring damage.

This webinar draws on research from the NCHRP Synthesis Project 20-05/50-15: Asset Management Approaches to Identifying and Evaluating Assets Damaged Due to Emergency Events. The report has not yet been published.
